Video on gear for winter hillwalking

About to start talking!

I've just uploaded a video of the gear I use for winter hillwalking. My first video like this. Took three attempts - frozen camera, inaudible audio, wind noise all problems. There's a weird colour change two-thirds of the way through that I can't get rid of or explain. I'll learn! Anyway, here's the link:

  1. Chris. An excellent wee video, and totally agree about not having your compass anywhere near your phone. But your compass was in the top pocket of your rucksack, along with your head torch and your charger, both of which will have batteries. Surely this is a no no?

    1. Thanks. Glad you liked my video. Compasses and batteries aren't a problem. I've kept my headlamp and compass in the top pocket for decades. It's the magnets in the phone that cause the problem. Phones should be kept away from anything else with magnets not just phones. This piece explains it all well. https://www.tgomagazine.co.uk/skills/has-your-compass-been-affected-by-reverse-polarity/
