Interesting review of the Teva sandals. It is not easy to find a model that is both robust and comfortable enough for long walking and light enough to want to always have in your pack. One that does fit the bill is the Birkenstock Arizona Eva. These weigh a mere 226 grams for the pair, yet the sole is robust enough to walk over rocky terrain with adequate foot protection and, after some experimentation with the strap length, I find them comfortable enough for long walking.
